Vail Mountain to Host Warren Miller Legacy Day and Spring Events
VAIL, Colo. – March 19, 2018 –Together with Warren Miller’s family and friends, Vail Mountain will honor the late Warren Miller by hosting the Warren Miller Legacy Day in Vail on April 7, 2018. The day will include a commemorative ski down Vail Mountain and a legacy celebration.
Combined, Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort have appeared in 28 different Warren Miller feature films. The first film to feature Vail was the 1962 feature film, Around the World on Skis.

About Warren Miller: Warren Miller was a ski icon and filmmaker. Over the course of his career, Miller produced over 500 action adventure films covering numerous outdoor pursuits, most notably, skiing. He was an avid skier, surfer and sailor. Miller passed away on January 24, 2018 at his home in Orcas Island, Washington. Miller is survived by his wife, Laurie; by his sons Scott (Melissa) and Kurt (Ali); by his daughter, Chris (David Lucero); and his five grandchildren.
