- Town of Vail to provide complimentary service parking in Lionshead
VAIL, Colo. – April 8, 2009 – Vail Mountain will host the annual interdenominational sunrise service on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. The Eagle Bahn Gondola will begin operating at 4:30 a.m. to transport guests from Lionshead to Eagle’s Nest for the 6 a.m. sunrise service. The gondola ride is complimentary and guests are not permitted to bring skis or snowboards to the sunrise service. Following the service, guests will be asked to download the gondola. In addition, there also will be an afternoon Easter service scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Eagle’s Nest Holy Cross observation deck.
For those planning to attend the Easter sunrise service, the Town of Vail is offering free parking for vehicles that enter the Lionshead parking structure after 4:30 a.m. and depart prior to 9 a.m. Attendees should inform the booth attendants they were at the service.
