30 January 2014
  • World-class Vail experience continues with exclusive, on-mountain event at 10,250 feet
Vail Mountain, one of the largest and leading ski resorts in the world, is re-imagining the nighttime experience in the Colorado Rocky Mountains this winter with Décimo, an elevated event located at 10,250 feet above sea level at The 10th. Décimo – slated for Fat Tuesday, March 4, 2014 and featuring three-time Grammy nominee, DJ, producer and artist Paul Oakenfold – is poised to match the legendary reputation of the mountain and resort.
“Décimo is the latest example of how Vail has set itself apart as the premier winter destination for discerning guests from around the world,” said Chris Jarnot, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain. “Décimo will complete the ultimate winter guest experience in Vail, inside and out, from dusk to dawn.”
For one exclusive night this winter in Vail, Décimo will blend exceptional service, renowned entertainment and the excitement of a world-class nightspot. Paul Oakenfold, recognized as the original pioneer of DJ culture and one of its most recognizable icons, will headline the evening. From the DJ booth of the world’s hottest dance floors and festivals to the studio producing groundbreaking remixes or soundtracks for Hollywood blockbuster movies, Oakenfold’s diversity as an artist and ability as a performer have earned him accolades from critics and fans the world over. His appearance at Décimo’s debut in Vail will be an evening not to be missed.
The event will begin at the base of Vail’s Gondola One in Vail Village. From there, guests will be carried to mid-mountain in the gondola’s state-of-the-art cabins, complete with heated seats and Wi-Fi access. Just steps away from the top of the gondola, The 10th will undergo a carefully orchestrated transformation for Décimo from Vail’s newest fine dining restaurant to a chic, dynamic nightspot.
Gondola One will open at 9 p.m. for ticketed guests over the age of 21 with proper identification and adhering to the mountain chic dress code. For information on tickets and various VIP packages, visit or call (970) 754-CIMO (2466).
