Vail Celebrates 50 Years of Skiing on Saturday, Dec. 15

VAIL, Colo. – Dec. 12, 2012 –In honor of Vail Mountain’s 50th anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 15, guests, locals and the entire Vail community are invited to join a free, public celebration to recognize the momentous occasion and honor the past, present and future generations of Vail.
What: Vail’s 50th Birthday Celebration.
Where: Mountain Plaza in Vail Village at the base of Vail’s new gondola, One.
When: Saturday, Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. Venue opens at 5 p.m.
Why: To celebrate the last 50 years at Vail and look forward to the next 50!
Highlights: Remarks from special guests followed by a spectacular fireworks display over Vail Mountain.
