Vail Mountain comes alive with the sound of music when the resort’s summer FAC (Friday Afternoon Club) series returns on Friday, June 26 featuring free live music every Friday evening through Labor Day weekend. New this year, mountaintop music will continue into the weekend with the Saturday Sundown Series taking place at Eagle’s Nest from 4-6 p.m. beginning July 4 through Aug. 15.
The U.S. Forest Service and Vail Mountain invite community volunteers to the annual mountain cleanup, scheduled for Thursday, June 11. Volunteers will receive a single-day lift ticket voucher for the 2015-2016 winter ski and snowboard season and will be treated to a barbeque lunch, compliments of Vail Resorts.
Vail Mountain, one of the largest ski resorts in the world, will close out the 2014-2015 ski and snowboard season on Sunday, April 19. Guests of all ages are invited to join in the festivities and are encouraged to do so responsibly so that on-mountain celebrations can continue successfully for many seasons to come.
Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort announced today the operating dates for the resorts’ 2015-2016 ski and snowboard seasons. Opening day at Vail will be Friday, Nov. 20 and opening day at Beaver Creek will be Wednesday, Nov. 25. Both resorts plan to close two weeks after the Easter holiday on Sunday, April 10.
Vail Mountain will host its annual interdenominational sunrise service on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 6 a.m. inside at Eagle’s Nest. The Eagle Bahn Gondola will open to the public at 5:30 a.m. to transport guests from Lionshead. Complimentary baked goods and beverages will be provided. In addition, there will be two afternoon Easter services outside at Eagle’s Nest: one scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Simonton Deck also known as the Holy Cross observation deck, and one at 2:30 p.m. on the Marketplace deck.
